Quality Water Source To Drink: Tap Water Vs Bottled Water

Is There A Difference Between Tap And Bottled Water?

Between tap water and bottled water which is the best water source?

Is it safe to drink tap water than bottled water?

There will always be this competition between savvy companies that manufacture and market bottle water and tap water which is not a known business entity.

With their bombardment of ads and commercials, these company will like to let use understand that there is a great difference between these two sources of water and theirs is the safest to drink.

Funny enough most of us have turned out to believe them that rather than find ways to filter their tap water we prefer to spend quiet some good amount of money on purchasing cartons of bottled water.

However, if you fall into the category of people that believe that there is difference between tap and bottle water, you will be wrong to have that notion.

The truth remains that the bottle water you drink is just another tap water that is finely packaged and hyped for you to buy.

Both sources of water are deemed safe to drink in the United States but this does not make them healthy to drink in my personal opinion.

Tap water is regulated by the EPA to keep it up to standard while bottled water is regulated by FDA.

But if you ask me which I prefer between both sources, I will always recommend my tap water any other day.

My reasons is what you will find out as you read along and hopefully you will have a change of mindset about which one to go for.

Why You Should Filter Your Tap Water And Use It Instead Of Bottled Water

While most of us believe that bottled water is healthier and safer to drink because it is stored in an air-tight container, I can assure you that you will be wrong.

There is no known study or research that has proved this to be true rather and as a matter of fact, some brands of bottled water has been proven to be more dangerous to consume than tap water.

If you have ever heard of the chemical called Pthalates, a chemical is being used by plastic companies to soften plastic.

It would interest you to know that this chemical and other tough synthetic chemicals used in making these plastic leach into the water we buy and drink.

More reason why it is not advisable to drink water stored under sunlight or left in a car overnight after a hot day.

Heat is a major cause of these chemicals leaching into the water and there result in high risk of cancer, reproductive disorder and liver problems.

This is one aspect and truth about bottled water you don’t see in your regular advert.

I strongly believe that bottled water is just an expensive tap water and if I can purify my tap water more, then it will be a better option for me than bottled water.

This is more reason why you should learn to purify your tap water because it is a more reliable, safer and healthier source of water you can drink any time.

There is nothing special about their water, have that at the back of your mind the next time you are ordering for some.

For all I know the tap water in your kitchen, even without any filtration, might be safer than the water in your pretty looking bottle.
